Holding Top Leadership Accountable.

Our approach

Every decision should begin with the fundamental question: how does this put Students First? In this way, we can best sustain and elevate our levels of academic excellence, promote responsible governance and spending, and foster transparency. We bring the right experience and skill set to help the Board of Education build on successes while strengthening our literacy, math, special education, sports, music, arts, and other programs. We will prioritize evidence-based instruction, early interventions that save money and improve outcomes, less combative and more supportive special education, and accountability for district leadership. Our approach is simple: put Students First, support instructors, and ensure dollars are spent wisely to benefit the entire community—whether you have children in the schools or not, strong schools mean a strong Garden City.

“Hi, I’ve been following everything you’re saying about the schools. I have my own child who is struggling without getting the right supports. I pay out-of-pocket for tutors, which isn’t cheap. I’m curious why you haven’t run for school board? I hope you will!”

— ACTUAL PARENT COMMENT, and illustrative of why we’ve both stepped forward to run.
